Day 1 / Week 1 (2nd June 2025)
OK, so starting a business from scratch is an excellent task to undertake.
Taking it from £0-£3M in public, in 3 years might have been a silly idea… but hey ho.
I’m having no regrets. however I felt a little worried once I hit post on LinkedIn.
Anyhow, enough of that drivel. So what the hell have I done on day 1?
Well, a lot of planning.
For those that are new here (well, it is a new site), let me put forward a little elevator pitch:
I’m building a £3M business from scratch and will entail two parts:
🔹 Redbridge Media – A digital media company building and scaling newsletters at the intersection of business, tech, and investing.
🔹 GrowthX – A performance-based growth firm helping investors turn underperforming businesses into cashflow-positive assets in 90 days.
There is a good reason for running this in two parts and whilst they both cover different aspects, with my 10-year plan, there will be a lot of overlap. But that’s not important here.
for these posts, I’ll do them in two parts:
- A morning section, whereby I will write out my plans for the day
- An evening section where I’ll cover what I have achieved
- Stats, charts, and everything else that I think you’ll find useful.
Yes I am doing this to prove a point to myself. But I also know that there are many out there that don’t think doing something like this is possible (and vice versa in that there is a lot that will look at this and think it’s an easy task). The main think is to be transparent.
I’ll send out weekly updates via an email list, which you can sign up for here:
Like I mentioned, today has been all about planning and getting things together. I’ve compiled a list of contacts as I intend to get on the phone ASAP and start selling advertising space on the newsletters.
I appreciate this entry is a little scatty – I only set up the website about 25 mins ago and it’s past my usual bedtime. But at least I am committed to putting all the details together so that you can all see what it takes each day to get a business up and running.
